My first Quilting job

My first quilting job is a queen size quilt for a lady that I know. This is the biggest quilt that I have quilted, and its been a little bit of a challenge.

With smaller quilts, its not a problem to roll the quilt up to reach the middle. With a queen size, that doesn't work so well, at least not for me. I decided that it would be best to use the "stuff and fluff" technique that Paula Reid uses. It is a little tricky, but works well. I've made it to the middle of this queen-size quilt.

Its a tight fit, but I was able to quilt all the way into the center with no problem.

The quilting is a little hard to see here. It is a meandering loop with leaves pattern that I am free-hand quilting.

I think that is a lot easier to see the quilting on the back.

I'm halfway finished, but will add more pictures when its done.
